Holy mother of pine cones. Takumi, what the fruck is up with your head? I mean, being otaku and living in a shack, literally speaking, means you’re wacko enough, but… what’s with the delusions? ಠ_ಠ
So episode 2 focuses in on Takumi and his relationship with Kusonuki Yua, the blond otaku from the first episode. Delusional Seira is slightly jealous, and the pink haired murderer transfers in, introducing herself as Sakihata Rimi. From those points alone, this show is giving off harem vibes. But the gore and murder are throwing all that off course. Not to mention the shiny, large, delusional (?), zabuza swords that appear in those people’s hands every now and then. Et confuzzles meh.
But anyway, I need to throw in a summary of episode 2, so here I go.
It kicks off with Takumi still freaking out about the murderer in his class. He knows (or was it delusional?) he saw the murder, yet standing here is the same girl, except insisting that she’s been his classmate since year 1 of highschool. His friend isn’t helping much either, agreeing with her explanations. Surprisingly, Madhouse did Takumi’s reaction to the girl very realistically. That’s how it would probably play out if a murderer transferred into my class. Either that, or I’d be dead within the next few minutes.
But anyway, he’s forced to get over it, as class is beginnging. After school, though, he’s back in his shack, defeating n00bs with his lvl 70 character. However, he begins hallucinating (lol) about Rimi in his shack, with one of the crosses she used to murder the guy, about to kill him. When he wakes up, Rimi IS in his shack, but not exactly covered in blood. But, being the paranoid “lock-all-the-doors-and-windows” person he is, he tells her to get out.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch at headquarters, a bunch of police are trying to figure out New Gene case 3, and they already have a lead suspect. Poor Takumi was caught on camera running out of the alley where the man was killed, with a cross in his hand. So that makes him the only suspect, let alone the most likely. So, in order to try and prove that Takumi’s guilty, the police dispatched an incompetent investigator. Seriously, fut the wuck?

He’s RIGHT FLUCKING THERE. Police these days aren’t like they used to be.
But anyway, the next day, Yua fetches him from his home, and the two head to Anime Eight, the local anime store. (I wish I had something like that in my city. D:) Yua blows all her money there, and afterwards, the two depart, but not before exchanging email addresses. When Takumi gets home, he of course has to check his email, and VIOULA. Look what’s there. Delusional Seira is worried and jealous, but Takumi assures delusional Seira that he’s only interested in 2-dimensional girls. Fut the wuck? You could’ve just snagged a hot blond girl, but you delete her email just because your delusional wife is jealous? ….What? Takumi’s stupider than I thought. Not to mention the next day, where he has a delusion about Yua. THINK ABOUT IT. If you had JUST responded to the email…

But anyway, Yua still hangs out with him, and the two walk home together, but stop at a lake to look at the scenery. While there, Yua’s bag falls to the ground, spilling all her papers. And, GASP, they have information about New Gene plastered all over them. As it turns out, Yua was researching New Gene, trying to figure out who the killer was. And all her information so far points to Takumi. Once again, Takumi comes in contact with the crosses, as Yua now has one pointed at his chest, forcing him to admit he killed the man. But he doesn’t, and she continues her rant, pointing out that she has proof he’s the owner of both Shogun (the user that sent him the images) and himself. Somehow he gets away, and the episode ends on that note. Lucky Takumi is lucky.
Gawd. His delusions are hard to tell apart from reality, unless they’re like the picture above. Cuz seriously, who would EVER do that? Anyway, episode 2 was okay-ish, and not as enjoyable as the first. Hopefully 3 will be better… But anyway, I’m going to leave this hanging because I don’t have a concluding sentence. Again. XD

- Yes. He IS a wacko. But he’s a unique character for an anime. I really like it.

It DOES make him unique, but there gets to be times when enough is enough. If he went to see a doctor because apparently he did something he forgot about, then why doesn’t he see a doctor because of his hallucinations? That just doesn’t make sense to me. Then again, he does fit the plot line and story very well, so I guess delusional is just what makes Takumi Takumi. XD
