Fall 2008 Preview? Those are for wimps.

Ahem. Yeeeah… I’m probably one of the last people to let out this list. Sigh. Is it just me, or do I really have to create a list of 35 anime, half of which I’m not even blogging? Or even checking out? More sigh. There’s a list after the jump.

Hakushaku To Yousei
Something about fairies and a knight and other fairy tale stuff. But! I see bishie. I need. D: Came out the other day, now I just have to wait for subs… It’s being done by Artland, who did Gunslinger Girl II, Mushishi, Bokura Ga Ita, and a bunch of others. I think Katekyo Hitman Reborn was in there somewhere, but I’m not sure.

Toradora!
Wow, de ja vu. I just, for some reason, had a flashback to Nogizaka Haruka. Sigh. This one’s about two people who are in love with the other’s best friend, but of course, they fall in love with each other along the way. Or at least, I’m betting my friend 10 bucks on that. Toradora! is being done by J.C. Staff, like To Aru Majutsu no Index. Comes out on October 1st.

Noramimi 2
I, unfortunately, missed the first season, so I’ll probably be checking this one out but I also probably won’t blog it. It’s about elementary kids and their imaginary friends, except they’re not imaginary. O_o Gasp. This one’s from TMS, who’s also done Detective Conan, D. Gray-Man, and Itazura na Kiss. Coming out on October 1st.

Casshern Sins
Ah, Casshern Sins! I’m the only one I know who hasn’t seen the movie. Sigh. Anyway, it’s an action anime about robots becoming self aware and taking over humanity, something like that. Or in other words, every other action anime out there. Casshern Sins is animated by Madhouse, who did Death Note, and that might be the only reason I’m watching it. >_< Oh yeah, comes out October 1st.

Rosario to Vampire CAPU2
I have two answers to that. Both of them are NO. Next.

Hyakko
This one’s another slice-of-life comedy, about a bunch of girls who live in a private academy. I’ll probably skip over this one, but time will tell (I love that saying. :D). It’s done by Nippon, who’s also done Antique Bakery, and it’s coming out on the 1st of October.

Shikabane-hime Aka
To tell the truth, I’m pretty excited about seeing this one. It’s about a corpse who has to kill 108 other corpses in order to go to heaven, and I haven’t had much undead goodness lately. It’s coming out on October 2nd, and it’s being coproduced by feel and GAINAX. Together, they’ve also done Gurren Lagann.

Kuro Shitsuji
Another action thingy, about a 12 year old boy and his only competent servant, who happens to be his combat butler. I like butlers! :D Butlers make me happy. And so, I’m watching it. It’s done by A-1 Pictures, who’s also done Persona -trinity soul-, Testuwan Birdy, and they’re also doing Kannagi this season. It comes out on October 2nd, joy.

Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka
Another comedy, except this one’s about how a girl finds out she’s engaged to a guy she hates, or vise versa. Also betting that they’ll love each other by the end of this one. It’s produced by Tnk, who’s also done I! My! Me! Strawberry Eggs!, and I can’t recognize any more. =_= It’s coming out on October 2nd, with Kruo Shitsuji and Shikabane.

Hokuto no Ken Raoh Gaiden - Ten no Haoh
Fist of the North Star? Ew. Next.

Yozakura Quartet
I’m reminded of Powerpuff Girls Z! Demashita! when I think of Yozakura. It’s about a bunch of teenage girls who have special powers, and use them to save their city from the supernatural. Oh god. I have a lot of inward debate as to whether or not I’m going to watch this one, let alone blog it. The first episode will tell, I guess. Oh, and surprise! It’s done by Nomad, who also did the Rozen Maiden series. Comes out on October 2nd, by the way.

Clannad ~After Story~
Ah, Clannad. You’ve never ceased to bore me. Pass.

Tales of the Abyss
Ooh, another game based anime? Everyone’s hyped about this one. It’s about some guy called Luke, and if his dad dies, he becomes Luke the Duke. That must be the awesomest thing ever, having “Luke the Duke” as a name. Anyway, it’s done by Sunrise (omg, just reminded of Code Geass and teared up a bit… D:), who did, other than the obvious, the Mobile Gundam Suit series, Cowboy Bebop, Mai Hime/Otome, and a ton of others. Debuts on October 3rd.

Tentai Senshi Sunred
Ah, I love a good parody/comedy anime. I’m looking forward to this one, as I haven’t had a good laugh in a while. It’s being produced by AIC, who also did Bamboo Blade and Tokimeki Memorial. It’s being released on October 3rd along with Tales of the Abyss.

Kurogane no Linebarrel
Another robot anime, except this one has linebarrels of iron. Sorry, I just find that the funniest name ever. Linebarrels of Iron? That’s almost as bad as being called Spiderman, or Superman, or even Batman. Those names are so stereotypical, just pick a cool word and tack on “man” at the end. Linebarrels of Iron isn’t generic as much as it is cheesy, though. It’s being done by Gonzo (Oh god), who’s also done Rosario + Vampire, Strike Witches, and Full Metal Panic. Oh yeah, Hellsing’s in there somewhere, as well. It’s coming out on the third of October, right next to Tales and Tentai.

Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae
I remember when the first and second seasons were released, and now the third is out. But I didn’t watch them. >_< So I’ll be watching the third out of curiosity. Basically, Mitsuganae is about… ummm… something to do with hell and the internet? Truthfully, I haven’t the slightest clue Oh well. It’s produced by Studio Deen, who’s also done Higurashi (another reason to watch it), Fruits Basket (another reason NOT to watch it…. sigh), and Amatsuki (a second reason to watch it. majority rules!). It comes out on October 4th.

Kannagi
Wow. It’s about a guy who carved a tree thing, took it outside, and it transformed into a girl. I would freak out if I were him, seriously. Anyway, just because this one is weird and quirky, I’m seeing if the first episode is good. It’s done by A-1 Pictures, like Kuro Shitsuji and Tetsuwan Birdy, and it’s coming out on October 4th.

To Aru Majutsu no Index
Religion and magic? Oh, I gotta see this one. All there is to it. It’s done by J.C. Staff, and previous works of theirs include Little Snow Fairy Sugar (ugh), Zero no Tsukaima (more ugh), Sky Girls (uuuuugh), and Slayers Revolution (finally! something normal). Coming out on October 4th.

Kemeko Deluxe
Kemeko Deluxe looks like it’s a mecha harem packed full with fanservice, something like that. I cannot stand harems in general, and so this is a PASS. D: And what’s with that strip of hair on her head? It looks abnormal…

Gundam 00 Second Season
I haven’t seen the first season, and I must if it’s taking over -gulp- Code Geass’s spot. There. I said it. ToT I’ll watch it after I finish the first season, so that means I won’t be blogging it. Maybe if a third season comes out? Anyway, this is also being done by Sunrise (BAWWWWWW), and it comes out on October 5th.

Ga-Rei-Zero
An anime where you get to eat ghosts? That is cool, no matter how you put it. Seriously. I heard it was a little different from the manga, what a shame. T_T Anyway, supernatural is good, and so I’ll be watching this. It’s done by AIC, like Tentai Senshi Sunred, and it comes out on October 5th.

Macademi Wasshoi
Over my dead body. Next.

Kyou no Go no Ni
What is this? A bunch of perverted fifth graders? I’d say pass, but supposedly it’s hilarious. So I’ll give it a shot. It’s being done by Xebec, who’s also done DN Angel, Love Hina (shudder), Shaman King, and Elemental Gelade. It’s also being released on the 5th of October.

Skip Beat!
So a girl named Kyoko was working for this guy named Shotaro, but then Kyoko ditched Shotaro because he was badmouthing her, and she swore revenge, but she can’t because he’s this big super star, so she decides to become an even bigger superstar. SHOUJO, in other words. YESYESYESYESYESYESYESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. It’s being produced by Hal Film Maker, who’s also done Aria, Boys Be, and Sketchbook, and it comes out on October 5th.

Vampire Knight Guilty
Okay. I hate to admit it. I really do. But I think I’m actually looking forward to Guilty. -chokes and dies- The animation better be better (lol), the time pacing better be fixed, and the angst should go down several degrees. If all that works out, I’ll watch and blog Guilty, but if not… D: Or I might just end up blogging it for the bishies. Cuz seriously.Produced by Studio Deen, who’s also doing Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae this season. Comes out on the 6th.

Bihada Ichizoku
…Fut… the wuck? I’d rather suffer through Love Hina again.

ef ~a tale of melodies~
I missed the first season, but I don’t know. I’m only one person, and I already have, like, at least 15 other series I’m planning on blogging. Okay, that might be an exaggeration, but you get what I mean. I heard it was pretty good, but sadly, I’ll have to pass over this one. It’s done by SHAFT, who also did Hidamari Sketch and the first ef series. Going to be released on October 6th.

Kurozuka
Ah, Kurozuka! I’m definitely watching this one, as it’s being produced by Madhouse, who also did Death Note and is also doing Casshern Sins this season. I have a vague idea of what Kurozuka is about, but I’m not entirely sure. I think it was about an emo guy who wandered around wondering why he couldn’t die? I have no idea, but it’s Madhouse, and I worship Madhouse. ALL HAIL LELOUCH MADHOUSE!

One Outs
Ew, sports anime? No, just no. I’m passing up this one.

Mouryou no Hako
Madhouse + mystery thriller? It equals win, of course. I AM WATCHING THIS. Oh, and it comes out on October 7th.

Chaos;HEAd
MOAR MADHOUSE OM NOM NOM. This one’s about a guy who gets caught up in a series of murders, and then is sent a link to a site that details the next murder exactly how it’s gonna happen. Madhouse wins. Coming out on the 9th.

Tytania
Everyone’s hyped about Tytania. I really don’t see what’s so great about it, but whatever. I’ll watch the first episode, and if it’s good, then I’ll continue to watch it, but I don’t think I’ll blog it. It’s being produced by Artland, who’s also done Mushishi and Bokura Ga Ita. Coming out on the 9th.

Nodame Cantabile Paris-hen
I love music and all, but this is probably going to be the most boring series out of the bunch. I’ll check out the first episode, but that’ll probably be it. Produced by JC Staff, coming out on October 9th.

Junjou Romantica 2
OHMIGODOHMIGODOHMIGOD A SECOND SEASON. A SECOND FRUCKING SEASON. HOLY SHNIT. I’m gonna be watching this, but my mom reads my blog, so I don’t know if I can blog it… Oh well. I won’t blog the ecchi episodes. It comes out on October 11th, and it’s being done by Studio Deen, who also did Vampire Knight and is also doing Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae this season.

Michiko to Hachin
This one’s about two girls on the run - one supposedly destroyed a prison that’s impossible to break out of (yeah, you heard me. DESTROYED.), and the other is searching for freedom from her strict foster parents. Wow. Not exactly the smartest choice, to look for freedom in an escaped convict. Sigh. This one seems interesting, but I’ll have to see the first episode before I can really bias myself. It’s being done by Manglobe, who’s also done Samurai Champloo and Ergo Proxy, and it’s coming out on October 15th.

My god, it’s finally done. If you notice a mistake anywhere, feel free to yell at me. Anyway, this is a list of all the anime I’m going to address this fall season, so there isn’t EVERYTHING on it.

The Waff of the Cake

Edit: I just realized. One outs is being done by Madhouse… AND I AM IN SELF DEBATE. I never liked sports anime, Prince of Tennis is what really got me out of it, but… I think I’ll watch the first episode. Of One Outs, I mean.
