First Episode Experience - Casshern Sins, Kuro Shitsuji, and Linebarrels of Iron

Why, Casshern, why? What did I ever do to you? You’re one of the anime I was really looking forward to, so why would you crush all my hopes of Casshern Sins ever becoming successful?

Casshern Sins is about an emo robot who angsts over the death of Luna, whatever that means, and how other robots want to eat him. The first episode, however, was about a little kid called Ringo and her grandpa. Basically, Casshern meets Ringo at a beach, they play, some bigger robot beats up Ringo, and Casshern kicks his ass. I love the distinct style and the setting, and the music fit the scenes really well, but… Casshern, why?! T_T Oh well. At least Ringo was the cutest kid I’ve ever seen. But seriously, why so angsty?

Insert crazy foamy mouth fangirl here.

SEBASTIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN-SAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I NEEDS IT

I guess that gives away everything I have to say about Kuroshitsuji. Sebastian is one of the awesomest bishie ever, let alone butler. However, he IS the BEST butler ever. WOOT, SEBASTIAN.

So, getting back on topic, Kuro Shitsuji is about a twelve year old boy, whose name has been forgotten, and his butler, SEBASTIAN-SAMA. The two live with the cook, maid, and gardener (?) in their gigantic mansion, but Sebastian is the only competent one. He’s the Phantomhive’s family’s best butler, having all sorts of talents that range from martial arts to cooking to gardening to catching things on his feet. Wow. When I heard that, I was like, “Well, what about…” but I shut myelf up because I was in a family environment. Btw, Sebastian is total seme. XD

So a man who wanted to do business is coming over, and the other servants have messed up everything. So Sebastian takes control and comes up with a traditional garden, having everything prepared when the guest comes by. So the guest comes by and he and the kid play a board game before dinner. And during dinner, Meilin, the maid, spills wine all over the table, so Sebastian does that cool pull the table cloth out without disturbing the plates. And it worked, hummm.

So afterwards, the boy (I need his name!) insists that the man continue the board game, even though he is losing by a lot. But the man says he has to make a phone call and leaves the room, but afterwards, he can’t find his way back, and he ends up breaking his legs on the stairs, like in the board game. Meilin and the others see him, but they don’t really care, because he’s dragging himself away. Woah. Wouldn’t they go after him? To see if he’s all right? Sigh.

Later on, after he’s been crawling a while and hearing strange things in his head, he finds himself in an oven, and Sebastian is looking in through a little peep hole, and he has the AWESOMEST EXPRESSION EVAR. So the man thinks he’s burning alive, when he’s actually crawling away from the mansion. Good riddance, it turns out he just wanted the money, and he would end up ditching all the workers and the factory he was bargaining for.

My impression? KURO SHITSUJI IS AWESOME. I was really looking forward to it, an it’s met all my expectations. Now it’s time to see if they can live it out. Kuroshitsuji is definitely being blogged, trust me. And I loved the ED animation, it was KAWAII.

So net, we have Linebarrels of Iron. Oh, joy.

Oh dear god, no. What the hell? Dammit, Gonzo, I’ve had enough of mecha with Code Geass! And even if mecha DIDN’T piss me off right now, why would you make such a horrible first episode?! Keicharo never ceased to piss me off, right from the beginning, and what’s with this development? It’s like character development on steroids! Weakling, confident weakling, sudden hero, sudden hero with power, and then psychotic freak who obsesses over justice, all in one episode. Wow, Gonzo, Strike Witches was one thing, but this is a totally new level. Wow.

So that’s that, since I’m not even bothering with an explanation. Next will be Shikabane-hime Aka, Kyo no Go no Ni, ga-rei-zero, and Kannagi.
